Sound & Motion is an international audio post-production, co-production, Dolby Atmos and music & score studio established in 2002. We provide sound design, re-recording mixing, Foley, ADR and dubbing, dialogue editing, film/TV/game score recording and mixing, music and album production, and mastering.
Our main facilities are in Cape Town (14 Chard Rd, Retreat) and Johannesburg (54 Peter Place, Bryanston, Sandton), South Africa, with satellite branches and representation in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Lagos (Nigeria), Tanzania and Los Angeles (USA).
Yes. We have multiple surround rooms and dubbing theatres, including dedicated Dolby Atmos HE studios, and specialise in Dolby Atmos recording and mixing for film, television and games.
Yes — we're one of the few studios that caters to film and TV score recording in stereo, surround and Atmos. We work with composers across all genres on contemporary, orchestral and hybrid scores that have gone to cinema, TV syndication and cable channels globally.
Yes. We've produced internationally award-winning albums across all genres since 2002 — including multiple SAMA winners and nominees, a Songlines World Music Award winner, and a New York Times Best Jazz Album of 2020 selection.
Yes — ADR, voice-over and multi-language dubbing for international distribution and local-market versions, plus a purpose-built Foley stage with veteran Foley artists.
Credits include Indemnity, Blood & Water, I Am All Girls, Riding with Sugar, Poppie Nongena, Flatland, 8 (The Soul Collector), Five Fingers for Marseilles, Queen Sono, Kanarie and The Recce — plus international titles such as The Boss Baby: Family Business, Rebel Moon, Entergalactic and Guild Wars 2.
